Marketing Campaigns
Are there any campaigns without social media?
Social Media campaigns consist of many elements and they are the most effective way to advertise brand awareness. No matter how much you don't want to think about it social media is the center of all companies. It's the way companies are seen by the outside viewers and the way competitors get an edge on other brands. Marketing campaigns have always consisted of the same elements and now that social media has become the new attraction, marketers have intertwined the two concepts.
In Chapter 13, we read about the concept of AIDA that demonstrates how to become successful through a campaign with four steps. Grabbing attention, building interest, creating desire and action has been the core steps for marketing since the begging, but now social media has made its presence through those steps. These steps were created to find awareness through a brand by reaching an audience that is interested in the product of a company. Campaigns are not only used to find new viewers but they also spark the interest of current members that want more from a company and today the media can do about anything to grab attention. Social media has ended up impacting marketing more than imagined and now every company has to incorporate it in their campaigns.
In today's world, it's hard to be successful in a marketing campaign without social media but it isn't everything. Campaigns still use traditional marketing techniques like magazines and commercials but social media is now just an added element to create a successful campaign. These social media campaigns can create such a broad audience for a cheap price. Having a social media campaign can impact a company beyond any other technique.
So, to answer the question of whether marketing campaigns can be successful without social media is a yes. However, in this generation, social media can enhance the impact of any campaign and it's almost a waste if you don't incorporate social media. Campaigns can make or break a business and having the resource of social media can create a successful image for a company.
