the podcast drop

Podcasts have become a lifestyle for me and I'll tell you why.

I have to run. When I mean have to, I literally mean I have to run because I play soccer, a sport literally made for cross country players with ball skills, I swear. Yes, it's a game but in reality, it's just running.

Anyway, come post or pre-season you have to run to stay in shape. As someone who can run well, I hate it. I could play an entire 90-minute soccer game but then die on a two-mile run.

So I figured there had to be a solution.

Before I discovered the wonderful life of podcasts I used music as a distraction for my run. This absolutely did not work. I got to the point where I would count the seconds in songs to see if I was almost done which ended in me thinking my run was an eternity.

Then I discovered podcasts and I will never go back.

Who would have thought someone talking to me during a run would make running feel enjoyable.

That's how I got into podcasting and here's how I can help you discover this trend.

Podcasts may sound like the hole for losers who have nothing else to do with their life but let me tell you there is a podcast for everyone. Anything from a murder mystery to an inspirational speech. Searching through podcasts is a lot of work but having some to begin with will help a lot.

For me, I use podcasts as entertainment to leave reality. My favorite podcasts are, "Wake Up with Weslie," "Even the Rich" and "The Skinny Confidential."

"Wake Up with Weslie" is a podcast for manifesting. Every time I listen to one of Weslie's voice recordings I feel rejuvenated and inspired to change my life. "The Skinny Confidential" does the same but this podcast speaks more of stories and real-life struggles. Listening to these videos also makes me feel like it's a time to change and grow. However, "Even the Rich" is pure entertainment as these two girls talk about the most famous rich historical families and how their lives were so different from what we read in the media. These all are my personal preference, but I also have many more that I will recommend below.

If podcast may not interest you yet, I would give one a try. We all struggle to forget about reality and a podcast could be a perfect way to do that. Let me know if these helped and if you liked any of the podcasts I recommend below!

Podcasts:

  • Imagined Life
  • Dr. Death
  • The Bad Broadcast
  • Even The Rich
  • The Blonde Files
  • Wake Up with Weslie
  • The Skinny Confidential

  1. I also have recently really loved getting into podcasts. As someone who loves music, I find myself not being able to focus on tasks if I’m listening to songs. My mom introduced to me to My Own Backyard, which is about an unsolved murder case which is now being opened back up because of the popularity of the podcast. I definitely recommend!

It is literally the funniest thing to watch whenever i had a bad day and need a laugh. Im also watching podcast with tons of motivation and positivity in them as well. Good blog!
