The Best Friend Drop

Who is it? 

Who is my best friend? 

As if anyone really cares, but I can solemnly say Kate Helton is my best friend. 

She would kill me for writing about her but that's what best friends are for, and she most definitely won't ever read my blogs :( 

Anyway, she is my best friend for multiple reasons not just because her mom paid me to be, but because this girl genuinely cares about me. We've all had those friends that are there for you, that have fun with you and occasionally fight. However, I don't think I've had a friendship quite like what me and Kate have. I mean, of course, we definitely hate some things about each other, three being exact, but that's not the main focus. Kate would fall off this planet for me and I only know that because she cares for me more than anyone and would never judge me. We could talk to each other about nonsense days on end if we had the time. We are two completely different humans, but it works. I mean come on she likes olives I don't, a perfect match. This girl has my back no matter what and I couldn't be more thankful for that. 

Kate is most definitely the funniest person I know. Trust me I know a lot of people, but this girl could make me cry of laughter. We're the type of people that could make any sad, difficult moment into a joke. I honestly don't think we have the capacity to make any situation seriously. We're just out here living our best life.

 Being in college we are with each other 24/7 but for some reason, I don't mind it. In fact, there's no one else I'd rather be with more. We couldn't even be away from each other all summer. We vacationed at the beach together for a week and went to California for another week. We even play soccer together and if you've ever played a sport, you know it's sometimes hard to collaborate friendships during competition. However, soccer never changed us. In all honesty soccer would be boring if I didn't have her by my side. But I could seriously be with the girl every other day and not have a problem with her. I know I can be a handful sometimes, but she knows that and it's wild how one can be as crazy as me at times. 

It's hard to put in words how much she has changed my life for the better. I can honestly say going to college with her was the best decision in my life. 

I know she's my best friend because she came into my life at my worst and when I needed someone the most. Shit, that sounds sappy but that's the truth. 

I never thought I could have a best friend but here we are. So, thank you Kate for changing that.
